Autumn 2026

nEverything changes. As summer ends and autumn begins, I thought it would be a good time to write about some updates. First of all, I am still cancer-free, and am so grateful for an amazing naturopathic oncologist who helps guide my continued recovery. I have written a short book (booklet) about my experience, and plan on releasing it in the next few months. My therapy practice is now exclusively online or in the wild...I love meeting clients on a trail, at a beach or park, and in their homes. Sitting and talking about mental health does not work well for everyone, so being able to walk and talk, or create and talk, makes it possible to have a different experience. My practice schedule is currently full, but I am happy to provide a consultation for potential new clients who would like to be added to my waitlist. My current focus is limited to the following: parenting neurodivergent children, parenting adult children, medical trauma recovery, divorce and remarriage, challenging relationships, family estrangement, newly and/or late-diagnosed neurodivergent people, and religious trauma recovery including deconstruction and reconstruction. Past clients will be always be welcome for reunion/update sessions, or new situations that arise. When I started my therapy practice in Snoqualmie, I was parenting a young child. I was fortunate to have found a supervisor, Carly Erickson, and a therapist, Dr. Steve Reed, who guided my early practice in psychodynamic therapy, with a focus on addiction recovery, personality disorders, and trauma...before trauma-informed therapy was mainstream. Taking on a new client, at that time, meant a years-long commitment. Now, my daughter is an adult. Living in the current world, post-pandemic and post-cancer treatment, as well as, being a neurodivergent and Highly Sensitive Person, I need to be able to be more flexible in my life, including my work schedule. I plan on practicing for a few more years, while also facilitating retreats (work/family/life recovery), writing/publishing, and continuing to create a meaningful life, one day at a time. Please reach out if any of this resonates with you! May peace and love be with you.
